Halvard is one of the fiercely loyal and brave warriors who followed Attlus the Conqueror from Bjorngar's great mead hall, Frothvar, to fight in the Second Great War of Mythoss. Since the end of that war, Halvard has served as an envoy from the House of the Noble Bear to the Legions of Light. Stationed at the Castle of Four Sides, he is there when the report from Einsamall arrives.
